MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has been one of the central educational and research institutions in western Austria since its founding in 1995/96. With around 3,600 students, a strong international orientation, and close ties to practical applications, MCI is committed to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and responsible future development.
Participatory research and exchange with society are gaining increasing importance at MCI. In various projects—such as in the fields of sustainability, health, digitalization, and social innovation—researchers work together with citizens, regional organizations, and students on issues that are relevant for Tyrol and beyond.
In addition, MCI is actively involved in science communication and knowledge transfer programs, organizes public events, promotes citizen-science approaches in research projects, and supports the development of innovative formats for collaboration between academia and practice. These activities make an important contribution to further embedding participatory research and open science within the region.
