Learn about citizen science

Information about citizen science can be found in a number of different learning formats both online and at various institutions. Alongside institutes of higher education, in which a variety of courses introduce the basic methods of citizen science, there are also opportunities for continuing education with associations and networks. As current continuing education opportunities develop very dynamically, you should ask your institution about this directly or write to us, in case we are able to send you options directly.

The Citizen Science Association regularly offers webinars in English on specific topics in citizen science that are led in a professional manner by experts in their respective field: https://www.citizenscience.org/events/webinars

Another option for finding out and learning more about citizen science is books and publications. We have provided a small selection of these here:

In addition, there are also many collections of guidelines and tools for citizen science projects. The most extensive collection is offered by the European Citizen Science Association on its platform: https://ecsa.citizen-science.net/blog/collection-citizen-science-guidelines-and-publications
